Rough idle,wrong code reading
I have an 04 F 150 XL with a 4.6. The check engine light came on,and it was idling really rough,so I took it to Advance and had them read the code. It said that the idle air control valve was bad. Made sense. I bought one and brought it home. Guess what. No aic valve on my throttle body! I went back and they said to replace the throttle motor. Does that make sense? Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Here's the instructions on how to take it off on an 04 F150...
4.6L, 5.4L & 6.8L Engines
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the accelerator control splash shield.
- Remove the Idle Air Control (IAC) valve electrical connector.
- Disconnect the throttle bypass hose.
- Remove the mounting bolts and the IAC valve.
- Installation is the reverse order of removal. Tighten mounting bolts in two steps:
- Step 1: to 89 inch lbs. (10 Nm)
- Step 2: an additional 90°
