Default Rebuild or crate

I'm not sure if this is the right forum (page)to post this on so here it goes. I plan in the near future to do some thing's to my truck. I have a 92' f150 with a 302 5L. fuel injection. She currently has over 209,000 0n it and i was wondering what would be more cost effective. I'm debating wether to go with a crete engine or to have the original one rebuilt. Any input or suggestions would be great! i plan to keep the old girl and just make it my personal show truck, but engine work will have to come first with her the rest can wait give me your thoughts

Normally in terms of cost it's cheaper to go with a crate engine.

However, to me there's a huge amount of satisfaction in building something yourself, turning the key, and having it start.

Are you going performance or stock. Also you have to look into having a reputable machinist. If you are looking just at stock go with a crate long block.
