Default Question on E-Fans

I have an 03 King Ranch 5.4 2V , what is involved when going to e fans . I'm a noob here so it mite seem dumb what I'm asking , but I'd rather ask and do it right then guess . Does the factory fan come off the center drive? Just wanting to know how it works . I hear it will free up about 15-20 hp , is that because of the removal of the factory fan blade ?

If you take it off, how is the radiator going to get cooling air?

The e fans are mounted on the radiator , they pull air thru to cool . The factory fan blade on the motor does this but because it's further back it less efficient if I understand correct

I believe by going to electric fans mounted on the radiator , it allows u to remove that big fan shroud as well opening up the engine bay a little

I have an 08 5.4 with the troyer e fans, I love the set up u remove the shroud and the fan/ clutch assembly it does free up power and LOTS room under the hood!! The power gain comes from not using the engine to spin the fan and in colder weather u the fans only come on when needed
