Read my signature to get a manual.

I ran MC 5w30 (per the manual) and a MC filter.

Default Go for the Old:

Mobil 1 5W30 High Mileage full synthetic....has a seal conditioner built in to the additive package that softens up the seals in an older engine.
The next oil change in my '97 4.6L will be 0W30 Mobil 1 High Mileage mainly since I got a five-quart container for only 17 bucks.

I would stick to what the owners manual or catalyst sticker says on the hood. That is what your vehicle is designed to use. They make different variations of it, like say your truck needs 5W20, you can run 5W20 Valvoline High mileage, or full synthetic.
