Default need help real bad

my son has a 1988 f150 with a 302.when it gets hot it ants to stale out.im lost and dont know what to look for,ive replaced the radiator,water pump,thermostat,coil,icm,wires,plugs,otor button,fuel pump in tank and the external fuel pump,filter,fuel pump relay. this truck has had a bunch of jerry igging on it from the previous owners.
i also have an oil pan gasket leaking.
after you let the truck sit awhile t will run fine for a while then it does it again.has anyone had this problem????? what do i need to do???? help!!!

Check for vaccum leaks and check the map sensor.... There is a coffee can looking container that is known to rot out on the passenger side under the hood... The junkyard will prob have the new updated plastic one that won't cause Vaccum leaks.
If that doesn't fix it then pull the throttle body, clean it, and replace or clean the IAC (idle air control valve)

Check the magnetic pickup in the distributor my 79 mustang did the same thing because of it

I have a 89 mustang that had the same problem i replaced the throttle body and the idle control has ran fine since
