Question missfire and knock

i have a 2005 5.4 last night coming home i was cruising at about 80 then had a slight pop noise lost power and check engine light came on now the truck runs like hell misfires and knocks at any rpm checked coils, and all coils are pushing 1 ohm fully disconnected so from what i have read that's where they are supposed to be, and the plugs have less then 15k on them. what else could be the problem?? also before this happened some times when id give it throttle it would jump up rpm from say 2000 to 3000 rpm but the truck wouldn't gain speed?

chances are you kicked one of the intake rocker arms/followers off witch would cause a pop a skip and power loss, this is very common with these engines I would start with a compression test after unplugging coils one at a time to locate the dead hole if the compression tests checks out pull the valve covers and have a look.look for a kicked off follower/rocker arm/blown up lifter

I'm just telling ya were I would start with the info you gave me,I know all of your coils checked out.did you test injectors?but chances are if you heard a slightly loud pop then it was something internal

thanks man, i replaced all the coil packs just to do it and ran the truck on a computer and the compression was good along with everything else in the motor.... so we wondering where the "power loss" came from, come to find out my torque converter is slipping, so im not truly losing power just losing power to the wheels. im running lucas in the tranny now and its helped a ton just hoping its not masking a worse problem to come.
