ok here is my problem i blew my timing cover and water pump cracked them in half lol so i went and got a used one from a scrap yard and it does'nt have the spots for the sensor can i by pass this sensor this sensor i think has to do with the harmonic balancer or balancing damper?
also if i cant bypass it do u know what years are compatible for a 1996 f 1 50 xl 5L 5 speed

No. You can not bypass the crank or cam sensor. You have the wrong cover, get the right one.
