OK WELL since cam phasers dont show physical damage my lovely extended warrenty wont cover it. Atleast they told me this before i authorized the 650 dollar tear down to find bad part.

I have other tapping as well which i think may be lash adjusters or rockers not sure. i am going to replace phasers my self and going to do spark plugs at same time. Is there a visual inspection to tell me which lash adjusters or rockers or whatever on top is also bad.

I have a fluttering tap rattle at top end somewhere between 1100 and 1300 rpms while under load. If i hold break pedal in drive and touch gas and i have to hit the exact rpm and i mean exact no higher no lower i get constant fluttering tapping noise, its loud you can hear from in cab under truck top of truck 30 feet from truck but above or below this cetain spot it goes away. the noise is easy to reproduce everytime once you find the spot. Im leaning towards a lash adjuster or rocker for this. any help would be appreciated on finding which one or ones making noise.

and at idel i get the knock tap leading to phasers but i figure fix it all while in it. dont want to do phasers to find they werent the majority of the noise...
