do the 5.4l fuel injectors tick? the reason i ask is because theres a small tick in my engine, so i replaced the spark plugs and it helped but when i was done i held the fuel injector while it was running and the tick went with the injector? so could that be my answer to my tike

yes sir the tick your hearing and feeling is called a injector pulse every time a injector "fires off" you hear the injector solenoid opening and closing,In the other hand these engines are known for having lifter ticks,Is the tick your hearing always been there or did it just start making the noise?how many miles?oil changed regular?

 

its been here for awhile. it has 180k and oil changed every 5k miles
