i have a 97 f150 and i need to do an engine swap. I found a mustang 4.6l with 160,000 miles for $400 and a f150 4.6l with 90,000 miles for $1,000 whcih comes with new oil change and plugs. Id like to spend less so i can put more into my truck, but i dont know what exactly you have to do to make a mustang 4.6 compatable for the truck. obviously the mile diference is great but idk whats trulyu more cost effective. Any advice would be great, especially if you can tell me what exactly has to be done to the mustang motor.
