Engine bore

What is the maximum bore for a 5.4? I found some 3.895 pistons and wanted to know what the maximum amount you can bore while still being safe.

This is a 5.4l 2v engine? 3.551" - - - 3.895 - 3.551= .344" I doubt that those pistons are intended for your engine. Usually .020" is the rebuild overbore.

u are right, my old 460 was 3.85, which means that I'd have to go .045 over... which is really pushing it.
