Are you asking if you can put just the intake on your truck?? Otherwise I don't get what you are asking.

Non-bowtie: Nitrous will work but there is a lot that goes with that as well. Wet or dry mix, how mow big of a shot are you going to use for how long. Yes it may be cheaper but it can still do a lot of damage when not tuned correctly or trying to use to much at once.

There is a ton of information on here on how to get the most power out of your 5.4 I know a lot of people have put superchargers on there trucks and love it. Like everyone has said it will always come down to time and money.

Bahahaha!!! Good one. A small shot of nitrous having the same effect as a blower!?! I just love when people pop up with a seemingly simple answer. Nitrous is a great way to pop one of these motors. As for cheaper I don't think so. The Nitrous kit ( a good one) is gonna run you $800-1000. Gonna need injectors $300+ wet or dry shot doesn't matter the stock injectors are to small and prone to failure, colder plugs $100, programmer $300-400, tunes $300, dyno time 4-8 hrs at $75 an hour ($300-600). Oh and don't forget the visits to get the bottle filled.

All this to have more power that's only available when you floor it, and won't be there to help you tow. Trucks still gonna be a slug everywhere unless your winding it up.

To the OP the intake is not gonna work nor would it be worth it if you could adapt it. I don't know how much power you are looking for but there are some sc's in the classifieds of this site and f150 online. Very reasonable prices in my opinion. Great power increases from idle to redline. Don't forget to support the trans with any high power mods ( nos, sc, or turbo) with a performance valve body and cooler. Your truck may already have a cooler.

Go in 10 HP increments Nitros nozzels and a good tuner. Also better duals will give you better top end. Of course slicker tires go faster, and lowering your front air dam an inch can give you maybe a couple mph. Simply folden the mirrors will be unbelievable quick. Over du the Nitros and melting stuff happens to the motor. Raising the octane delays this but hurtful things do happen. Adding a blower package is an option for heavy torquing aplication, but it also melts stuff. New bottom gears in axles are the way to tow happiness if you 5th wheel grain trailers and aren;t worried about fuel mileage. Gears make a truck a mans truck. Camen it is a torque or high rpm option, but not both. The one in it is for everday use.
