I am considering an ECU upgrade. Looking into an EDGE product or a Superchip. Mostly I want to be able to up the HP an Torque when i need to (off roading, towing, and just having fun) and also program for the best fuel efficiency (for the long trips). Any recommendations? I already have a airraid intake and magnaflow catback side pipe

 

Unless you have a diesel, you are looking into PCM programming. For your mods, look into custom tuned devices to properly account for them. The Gryphon CS/CTS from Power Hungry Performance, or an SCT x3 from VMP, PHP, 5star, Troyer, etc are the two best platforms out there.

 

I have the 5.4 with the towing package and trans cooler. I am looking for a hand held unit or a dash mounted one. something easy to use and not too involved.

 

Go with the gryphon programmer from power hungry performance because the custom tunes are worth the money!! Plus it has the dash mount and it's SUPER easy to install and change settings!
