Default Changing plugs help!

Im wondering about how to change the plugs on a 97 e250 its got the 5.4 in it.
is this the engine with aluminum heads known for striping or breaking?
Im helping a friend any help.

When you go to put the plugs back in, use the hose trick to make sure you don't crossthread them. That's when you'll run into trouble with aluminum heads.

They don't strip or break. The only time I've ever heard of one stripping is when one guy misread the inch pound for foot ponds, he got to about 80 ft/lbs before stripping it. No anti seize torque to 28 ft/lbs.

Can you fit them arpund the fuel rail or does it need to come off?

There's a chance you can fit them around. I just find it easier to pull the rail.
