I called a machine shop the other day to get a quote on rebuilding a 5.8 and they said it depended if it was a roller motor or non roller motor....? They gave me two prices $865 and $825. Is that a good price? And how can i tell if its a roller or non roller motor?

 

Wont know until you remove the lower intake. I would think the price difference is because the roller lifters are much more expencive than flat tappet lifters.
