I,ve looked at a lot of post on here to try and firure out what,s wrong with my truck.It,s a 2000 f-150 4x4 lariat with 188,000 miles on the 5.4.When I start the truck it runs fine,but when you put it in gear and drive it,s sluggish and is missing.I have,nt had the chance to take it to autozone to see what codes it puts out.One part of me thinks it may be a fuel filter or a coil pack.I,m new to these computer operated trucks and I don,t want to spend on parts that I don,t need.If anyone has had this similar problem I,d appreciate any advice you could offer me.

 

probably a coil...
here is a test.. if ur motor has individual coils over every plug...

while the car is running get under the hood start un plugging and plugging back in coils, if the misfire gets worse u have unplugged the wrong one but if it stays the same u have found the coil or plug that is bad..
