Stopped running. Just cranks bought this truck as a beater 300 motor and 5 speed. What commonly goes bad fuel or spark? Just looking for starters.. haven't work on Mars in 25 years. Bought this to tinker and help my 16 yr old learn some basics. Any help would be appreciated.

Could be a lot of things. Did you check for spark? Did you check for fuel pressure? Does it have compression?
That's the three basic things you need.

Well getting into it found the fuel tank was leaking in two spots. Hoping a new tank, fuel pump and sending unit will do the trick. Got complete unit from spectra so tomorrow is the day.....
