I'm looking for some info on this motor. I have a 1997 f150 4x4 manual with the 4.2 6 cyl. This truck has 88000 babied miles old man owned never beat. I have read many post about the intake gaskets and timing gasket leaking totalling the motor. My truck has never had these gaskets replaced. The dealership said there is no recall and have never seen this issue before. So my question is do I go ahead and replace these problem gaskets before they fail or is it really not as wide spread as these forums make it seen. Thanks
