I now have about 2500 miles on my truck. I break MPG into three main categories. Highway, City, Rush hour commute/traffic. I get about 23MPG highway going about 75 MPG. City I get about 18.5-19. Rush hour traffic is what kills my mpg. My daily commute is 16 miles each way. A lot of stop and go. Here I average about 15.5 MPG

sounds like you haven't disabled the fake engine noise that gets pumped out of the speakers yet!

The only sound this thing makes that I like is the turbos when you stomp and windows are down. For how nice everything else is I can live with exhaust. Personally all the aftermarkets sound like Honda civics to me.

The sound of the TT with the VTA mod will turn heads over any exhaust any day!

i thought the fake engine sound was only on the Sony sound system?

Also I hear the exhaust when I remote start it and I'm behind the truck so I don't believe it's the fake sound.

That's really good mileage.

Thought? On 4WD models, why doesn't Ford bring back the disconnecting front hubs. That would free up the front axle and reduce drag, thereby improving fuel economy.

As soon as I go over 70 mpg for me starts dropping. Do you have a lot of downhill driving that allows you to maintain 23 mpg at 75 mph?

the best I've ever done is 22.3. That was with a lot of coasting hills and driving light. As soon as I actually drive this thing I am consistently around 19 mpg. 80 mile daily commute barely any traffic. Highway/back roads.

if I really start stomping it I'm in the 17 mpg range. I don't mind its better than my 5.0 was and I can still have fun with it. Just shocking to see +70 mph speeds with mpg still in the 20s

The 23 mpg was on a 700 mile trip from Georgia to Florida and back. I rarely go on the highway other than when I go on vacation. Also I try and use cruise control as much as possible and use regular top tier fuel only. Tire psi I kept around 42

You may be right but I just can't seem to hear any fake sounds when driving. Everything I have read online states that it's not on all models. I heard it's on the sony systems and on higher end models. Lariet and higher

I thought the fake noise is only on Lariat's and higher trim levels with the EB's?

All I hear is a V6 rumble out of my 2.7L XLT.
