I ordered 305/40/22 which just got here today. I have a 2wd with a 2in shackle drop in the rear. Ill post up a pic when i get them mounted. I do plan to go with a 3/5.5 drop kit in the future though.
Sweet. Seems like there aren't too many 4wd trucks with shackle drops and 22's or 24's. Makes it hard to visualize.
I'm running 305/40-22 tires with the same size/offset wheels on a 2wd with a 2/4 drop and I think it's the perfect size. If you've got an FX4 with just a 2'" shackle, you're still sitting almost as high as a stock 2wd in the back unless you also removed your blocks. I'd say you definitely need the 305/45 if you're not going any lower. Here's a pic of mine for reference... (the back looks a little lower than it is because my driveway slopes down a bit)

As for a build thread, it's on my to-do list and hopefully I can get it started soon. I always planned to do one, and I have a bunch of pics to go along with a lot of what I've done but just haven't had the time to get it all posted. I've got a few more things in the works and/or waiting to be installed that I'm really excited about, so I'll be sure to keep taking pics to document it.
That looks good. I think I’m going to go with the Ford Performance Lowering Kit, with the 1 1/2 front and 2 1/2 rear. I’m a little scared to jump in with both feet and get a 2/4 or 3/5. Haha.
