Default Simplest way to lower?

I have a '05 Screw Lariat and I want to keep things as low cost and simple as possible.

I am looking at either a 2/4 drop or a 3/5 it doesn't really matter to me which one I just want to be a bit lower not necessarily slammed.
I will be running 24's most likely.

My main concern is the pinion angle when I lower it. I see everyone discuss this problem and I have no idea what it is, I am used to just throwing coilovers on a car and aligning it to get really low.

Will I have to rebuild my transmission down the road because of the angle of the driveline?

A 3/5 drop shouldn't have any issues with the pinion angle. What it is, the axle points up to the trans at an certain angle. The driveshaft has a certain amount of tolerance that it must be within or the ujoint will fail prematurly and possibly cause other issues. A small drop shouldn't need any driveline angle fixes. Wost case it just needs and block under the carrier bearing.

There are a few easy ways to get 2/4 and 3/5 but not knowing these trucks that well I will allow others to give you the best options.

That is one more question, I saw someone say something about a carrier bearing. What is this and how do I fix the problem a drop creates?

On a 3/5 with a 2piece drive shaft on my 07 scab 6,5f bed I need to put the bearing relocator. Never find a way to remove driveline vibration whitout
On a 1piece driveshaft you will be ok

I Lowered mine 2.5 / 4.5 with Eibach springs on the front shackles and removing the overload leaf spring. Springs, Shackles, Realignment, all together cost me less than 400.
