Arrow ~!~!~ Please help ... Shackle question ~!~!~

Hello All,

I have a 2012 HD F150 and just got my Belltech 2" drop shackles for my truck in. When i went to install them i noticed that i cant put them on until i make a modification for their proper fit. I have these tabs that are under the bed. They are where the bed sections meet and ford bent some of the metal down under the bed at these seems and welded them together. I have to bend those out of the way so that my new longer shackle will have proper clearance. This is the problem i am having. I have bent them as much as i can with just some vice grips and they are still in the way for the shackle. I am worried that when the truck is moving they will flex and pivot and end up bending my bed by pushing on those tabs.

Does anyone have any suggestions for bending them more or did anyone else have this issue when installing these shackles on their truck?

I bent mine as flat as i could. After setting the truck down and seeing how much clearance I needed. I think mine are about a 1/16" from hitting now. Putting shims in this week to get rid of a 20mph vibration under acceleration.
