I don't know about how many coils to cut but I've got to ask if you've ever ridden in a car with his one? I gotta tell ya the ride doesn't get much rougher.

I have heard people say the same as Blue Blood, but in my one experience removing less that one coil is fine. I had a 04 Focus that I had to get another 1" lower in the rear. I cut off a half coil and it was close, then I cut another 1/4 coil and it was perfect. The ride quality didnt change at all. I know you cant compare a Focus to an F150 due to the weight but I think if you go 1 coil or less it should be fine and get you another 1/2" to and 1". Just do a little at a time.

1 coil should be fine, just dont let it get to hot, that can kill the whole spring.
