I'm using 2 of the bolts just to keep it from moving while I weld it. But yes it is a pain in the *** to take the bed off, especially with a bed cover it's heavy but 5 people made it a little easier

Good drill bit is the key.
I find mine frame pretty easy to drill when I installed my helper bag

Well got the frame cut and botch bolted in, the picture I took was before the bolt was all the way bolted in, just gotta paint the notch and replace the fuel sending unit tommrow and put the bed back on, then it will be good. Also I have a picture of where the bottom of the Fram was bent from the axle hitting the 1/4 inch bump stops

ALWAYS when c notching the frame USE A DRILL BIT on the corners to prevent sharp angles. this will prevent cracking along the frame which happens a lot.

when he cuts the metal out for the driveshaft theres not alot of options only makin it flat or cutting it all the way out and re fabbing the crosss member it holds gas tank bracket. but your truck isnt to low mine is bagged and onces i cut the sides off the cross member and made it flat and big enough that my drive shaft will fit inside of what i cut out there arent no probs with rubbing. show a pic of how much he notched it
