Default gen 1 lightning

does anyone know how the gen 1 lightnings were lowered from the factory in the rear? did they use different leaf springs or use some sort of drop shackle? i have a 1993 flareside that i wanna convert into a lightning type truck. any info on how ford did this would be great!

I don't think they're that much lower, are they?

I would assume different leaf packs, that are a little stiffer to make it handle a little better

I think that they are about 2 inches lower than stock. I can get a parts lightning and was wondering if I should pull the rear suspension, but I don't wanna waste money on parts that are the same and already on my truck
