It has taken a while but I can now say my 17, 5.0 RCSB is finished. The stereo was completed the end of last year and it has taken me until today to finish the final mod. Wheels and tires. I had decided when I was running from ETN to MN on a regular basis that I wanted to set the truck up with a 70 series 18" tire to replace the 70 series 17s the truck came with. I purchased my rims and tires about 6 months ago and finally got the wheels and tires balanced today. Factory 18s, matte black with 255/70x18 Michelins. One of the drivers for this tire and rim choice is that you can buy 255/70x18s for about $70 less per tire than the 245/70x17. So the tire savings more than paid for my rims (100 mile old rims for $125) and the $40 for paint and materials to make them matte black. The ride because of the larger circumference is much smoother and if I can get someone to buy my 17 matte black rims I will be even farther ahead. 255/70x18s on a 3/4 drop. NO RUB!
