Default Drop Leaf Springs

I'm curious about how drop leaf springs ride? How they affect on haul capacity? Who has better drop leafs (brand wise...djm, belltecdh, etc.)?

how far are you wanting to drop?

I'd suggest lowering shackles or a flip kit before lowering leafs, so you keep the stock payload rating and ride quality

ah... right in the middle, lol

if I'm not mistaken, the most drop you can get out of shackles is 2"

a flip kit will give you about 5"

you'd have to do a flip kit to drop it 5", and then installed 2" lift shackles to take 2" off the flip kit drop, and give the net lift of 3"

I have an Eibach drop kit.. Its 2 in the front 4 in the rear...

The kit came with rear springs and shackles. springs dropped 3 inches shackles 1 more inch for a total of 4.

So if you only want 3 you would not need to use the shackles.

I bought the kit thru TireRack.com

As for Ride, it feels as smooth as stock and handles a bit better. I have not seen much of a difference in hauling... but I dont haul much,,,, other than my biig ***,.,,
