Default 2" Drop Shackle, Replace Shocks?

Dropping my 18 2WD with shackles, do I need to replace the shocks as well? Would like to upgrade them but not sure what to use. Should I just go with a direct replacement for stock or try something that says it's for a lowered truck like the Belltech. I have heard those shocks are junk though.

A 2" drop shackle won't lower the rear enough to need new shocks. If you want to upgrade anyway, there is a list of highly recommended Fox 2.0 shocks with varying lengths that bolt right in. You could find one that most closely matches the factory specs minus 2 inches and go with those.

For instance, if the factory shock had a 14" stroke, you could go with PN 985-24-006 which has a 12" stroke.

Running stock shocks on my 4x4 with 2” drop shackles. Found no difference in ride quality. Obviously upgrading would be nice, but not required.

Not necessary to replace them.
