I'm running 305/45r22 w/ my Maxtrac spindles. I had to cut about 1/4" of thread off the lower ball joint so it wouldn't rub on my wheel. 20" wheels would require even more. That's a non-factor with lowering struts though. That tire size itself won't be a problem.

^ Maxtrac claims factory 20” wheels fit without requiring modification.

Although, they also say 22’s should clear.

Was it maybe due to your width/offset????

My offset was slightly outside the scope of their maximum. But I just don't see how a wheel that is smaller in diameter than my wheel would fit without any trimming of the ball joint stud. They include a thinner profiled nut to replace the factory ball joint nut to gain more clearance if needed. I have to imagine that is a must if using the factory 20's.

I'm running 20s and I trimmed off my stud , I believe some wheels just look different on the back side the outside diameter is 20 but the center where the spokes meet is only 19 or 18 if I'm saying it right .

^ That makes perfect sense cause I know on my 22” wheels, the inner barrel diameter is only about 20”

Alright so I think I am gonna go back 305/50r20 or a 285/50r20.

Second question...1001sp kit...I'm gonna have to re-do the exhaust aren't I

^ Is that a bolt-on, or a custom exhaust?

I’m still debating lowering my truck, but if I have to choose between my corsa and lowering, it’s not favorable toward dropping lol
