Hey everyone! My radio plays fine but then gets super quiet and then gets loud again after a few minutes so I assume the amp is bad. Anyone got one for sale? It looks like the one in the picture.
I thought Ford was done with the mechanical ones by 1986. You could try looking here to see if there is one in your area.Don't overlook problems with the antenna. You could do some continuity checks with an ohm meter between the radio's antenna plug and the antenna base. Often corrosion sets in at the antenna base and affects reception and you will easily see any issues with the ohm meter..
