Default Looking for running board mounting bracket

Hi everybody,
I picked up an 02 Supercrew FX4 about eight months ago and am in love with it. Slowly building and updating it. Im not planning on doing anything major, just trying to keep it clean. Anyways, over the summer while heading up the Sierras for a climbing weekend, my tire slid off of a boulder and thankfully landed right on the mounting bracket for the running boards, cracking the bracket but saving my body! Unfortunately, Ford wont separate the brackets from the full assembly, meaning to buy them from Ford would cost close to $800! Found them online for about $50, but thought I'd throw it out here and see if any of you might have them sitting in your back yards!

Here is Fords part number: YL3Z16N470AA
It is the front passenger side bracket on an 02.

Personally I think it looks better without running boards.

I thought about taking them off, but soon realized that I, and my girlfriend/kiddos, use them constantly. Also, how in the heck do I post a picture?!

I never wanted nerf bars, but love them on my super crew. I use them and so does everyone else.

Weld it?

I need one too. Let me know if you find extra.

Actually, mine is broken in the exact same position.

If that's metal, get it welded. I had one on a 2004 Chevy that cracked. I welded it up and ground it down. Paint and a little work and it looked new.
See if you can get a pic from under it? I will check with a junk yard here Friday. As will be going to pick up a 17" rim my truck does not have a spare tire.

Pete

Thanks, I'll just keep an eye on the yards around here. I'm sure I can pick one up in Sacramento.

On a side note, has anybody had a dealings with Shockwarehouse?? I ordered the KYB Monomax and haven't been able to get any info back from them. Order is still in processing after two weeks....
