It's NOT plug-n-play.

There's just minor things that'll be different. As far as functionality of the cluster in general, it is plug & play.

I've read that the chime might be gone, the door ajar reading on the screen might be gone, but not a whole lot more. Mine shows an empty spot for the temp since my STX didn't come with a thermostat pre installed, but no big deal.

Unless you had something more major in mind, I think people in general are willing to make the swap, especially for a nicer cluster that has a tach (main reason to swap IMO). Evidence of that is in older posts and sales.

The electronics have to be .. for lack of a better word,... Mated.

You stick that cluster in a perfectly running vehicle without going thru the module programming procedure the vehicle will NOT run. It's designed that way to keep thieves and chop shops from making money off stolen property.

I disagree, but, this post is to sell my cluster, so if you want to debate about this, kindly do so elsewhere. Thanks!

There is NO debate. You are leaving out information prospective buyers NEED to know. My job for 11 years was programming modules and every aspect a Ford technician might have to do. Programming a new cluster did cross my path more than a few times. I kind of had to know how seeing as Ford required it.
