Default Yet another shock thread....

I know, I know, This topic has been beaten into submission through the years. Yet I still cannot decide! My truck is a stock 2002 Supercrew FX4 with a camper shell. I'm almost certain I'm still running the stock "Ranchos" unless the previous owner replaced them with stockies, the hard plastic boot is present instead of the soft rubber Rancho boot. And, after almost 14 years, I'm guessing it's time to replace! I'd say 90% of my driving is on highways and rough, patchy, pothole strewn holes in Santa Cruz county. More fireroads in spring-fall in the sierras. Anyways, I'm pretty much split between the Bilstien (4600 up front-5100 in the rear) or the KYB Monomax. Who has run these setups? What did you like, not like? And what are the warranties on both, Lifetime? Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have a whole laundry list of things to fix before a weeklong road trip this June starting with a rebuild of the driver seat.

I run Fox 2.0 direct replacements and I love them. Very firm without being harsh, and to top it off they can be rebuilt for $50 plus shipping. They are a little pricey at 125 per shock but I feel my money was well spent. I drive a lot of highway, city, off-road, and tow occasionally and never felt I needed anything else.

The Fox's are out of my price range, The bilstiens are about as much as I can spend. I appreciate the recommendation though Drillrig.

No problem man, if I were to use anything else it would be the bilstiens. It's hard to go wrong with them.
