Hi All,

So I recently sold my 1991 Ford F250 4.6 Gas Lariat

I am looking to purchasing another truck. I am located in the Northeast and will probably purchase one from the west coast where I dont have to worry about the Rust taking its toll on the under carriage.

I am huge fan of 1992 to 1997 body style. I am looking at an F150 4x4 with the 5.0 302 motor Auto Matic just wanted to get some overall feedback on the Motor and Drive train

Thanks so much for your input

The 4.6 didn't start until 1997 in the F-Series trucks. Maybe a 4.9 straight six?

I am a huge fan of the 5.0, but that 4.9 is hard to beat for longevity. They run forever if you keep the oil changed.

BTW, you'd do better in the correct forum for the OBS trucks. You are in the 97-03 section.

The Ford 300 inline 6, imo, is one of the best engines Ford has ever made. This engine is a work horse and will last if basic maintenance is done. It's to bad they did away with them in 96.
