Most likely they disconnected something and reconnected it while looking and fixed the problem without knowing it or the moving to the dealership jarred something. My German car was running fine and yesterday it would not start at all. It had done that before once or twice but usually started after a few minutes and then the problem would not happen again for months. It was getting fuel, spark etc. I took the throttle body boot off this time to check the throttle body of the fuel injection and I then noticed a fatigue tear in rear of rubber the boot that was only visible if you took the entire boot off. The tear was letting in too much air to the system and apparently during the starting the vibration would move the plastic air intake enough to move the boot and seal the tear for a while. Then some other vibration would open the tear up again. A new boot for $12.00 and it started right up. I am sure it is fixed. The point is sometimes you never know about what causes those things and sometimes you get lucky.
