I recently had to swap out the firewall mounted solenoid on a '97 F150 for a no crank, no start complaint. The initial new solenoid I purchased turned out to be a dud and a real waste of time and money. I posted a video on the Ozzstar's Cars YouTube channel showing how to bench test the solenoid and diagnose the issue before installing it.
