Default wiring extra lights

Ok so my truck didnt come with fog lights so i went and found a good set at a junkyard and cut the wiring out for its connector. Today i just installed a set of pilot fog lights i bought at autozone and i was wondering if it was possible to hardwire the oem fog lights into the pilotlights wires? Both only have the white and black wires. Any ideas? Thanks

You should be able to do it. Just splice the wires

Yes, it will work assuming that the wiring for the pilot lights can support the current and draw that the OEM fogs use.

I'm getting ready to do something similar - mine did not come with fog lights from the factory either. There are a number of threads here that indicate that ALL of these trucks came with a pre-wire, so if you got the fog light switch, and found where they tucked the unused wire for the valence or bumper-mounted fogs, that it would work straight away. According to some here, that circuit is pre-fused (5 or 10 amps), so make sure you don't overdraw that circuit, assuming that the Autozone lights are 55W or less... You could easily splice into the existing harness, or, simply cut the connector off, and wire the aftermarket lights directly (non-LED lighting does not care about polarity, so simply wire the white wire to the "lighter" one on the harness, and the black to the "darker" one.

Do you have the headlight switch that has the pull-put for fogs? If not, then you'll need to use the harness that came with your aftermarket lights, and the cabin switch - and possibly run to the battery (with a relay that you can tap into your parking lights). That AZ kit should have provided a wiring diagram - since you couldn't find the factory ones. I might be in the same boat!
