Default Windshield Wipers Indecisive

There is probably a better place to post this - Buuuuuuut the other day I flicked on my wipers and they acted funny - stopped in the middle of the windshield at the end of the washer cycle, and the intermittent function is truly intermittent, works in neutral but not in drive. It's not a big deal where I'm at (Rains not so much), Just curious if anybody else has had issues with wipers. Thanks

That sounds really strange I can't say that I've ever heard of that before

It has me stumped - especially the direct connection between the position of the shift selector and the function of the wipers - they're fine (intermittent speed) while in park or neutral, but freeze while in drive, I always figured its the multi function switch (whatever it's called), But like I said - it's not a big deal. Just eerie.

Does your truck have speed sensing wipers? That's what it sounds like. I did not think that they were on the F150. The speed of your intermittent wipers would be controled by how fast you are driving so as to keep the windshield clear. That would be my guess considering the position of the shifter. I know that GM has this feature on some of their vehicles. I believe that it is also offer on some imports.

I doubt it has speed sensing wipers - It's a pretty basic truck, Nothing fancy. This is the second column I have put in the truck - The original column did funny stuff as well, After the newer column it all worked fine until recently. It's Monsoon season here now (whatever that means) and I am a rain ex fiend, so I'm not at all frantic about fixing it, but I do worry about possible melting wires in the column or inside the IP.
