I'll pick up a 2001 SuperCrew tomorrow. It's a 4x4 but due to custom paint job (not the greatest) I can't tell if it has the FX4 package or the Off Road package. Since it appears that a window sticker is no longer available for this older model is there any way to determine if it has one of the add on packages?

2001 is 4x4 Off Road. 2002 is the FX4 change.

 

You're looking at skid plates and wheels basically, and p265 tires. the drivers door sticker will tell you the tires it come with and rear axle code...should be 3.55.

So basically it really comes down to just three skid plates. and anybody could pick those up at junkyard for fifty bucks. Wheels and shocks are highly likely to have been replaced.
