I have a 2001 F-150 supercrew. The driver's door window controller switch is wore out. A new one is 200 plus. I can get one for a 2002 for 30. Does anyone know what the difference is. Can I make the one for the 02 work?

 

It should just plug and play for those years. Have you seen a difference in the switches?

 

No I haven't. That's why I'm asking what the difference is. There has to be something different or there wouldn't be two different ones.

 

A 2002 Supercrew window switch will pull out and plug right into a 2001 Supercrew. Maybe I'm not understanding what you are needing to do.

 

When I look at them online the plugin looks totally different.

 

Hit the junkyard
Look at several in their yard
According to AutoZone the switches are different for 01 and 02
Duralast SW 7867 fits an 01 (92.49)
Duralast SW 7844 fits an 02 (157.99)

 

Thanks for the help. I see a new one one eBay for 51. Bucks. I'm going to give it a shot. Junkyards here in Pa. Just ain't what they used to be.
