Default will this fit?

hey fellas, this is my first post, i bought a 4x4 winter vehicle...a 99 f150 4.6 xl, x cab last night...gotta good deal on it. My wife is going to be using it lots however i would like to lift it somewhat without dumping a bunch of money into it and maintain decent ride quality. It may have been asked a thousand times before sorry if it has. Will 35" tires fit under a 3 in body lift without other mods to the truck......if so how big of rims are you guys running...18's? 20's? and how wide of wheel tire combo are you using without rubbing..... i basically want as big as i can go with just a 3 inch body lift.....thanks

I dont have any but I have done lots of reading. 33s will fit stock, so 35s will fit no problem on 3" lift. You have to remember that you are worrying about 1" of difference between 33 and 35 not 2" because the tire comes out from the axle, if that makes sense.

And I think most people do 17-18s. Most people I have seen (and I as well) think 20s are a bit big, but they are doable.

i am running 35x12.5 with a body lift and t bars cranked and aal's. i cut a small piece off the front valence. truck looks great, nice stance. i am running 17x9's with spacers cuz the 4.5 back spacing tucked them in too much. fyi without the spacers there was no rub at all. but it looks killer with em! in the process of some repairs(broke a front rotor in a panic stop in traffic, and rearranged the front end) i was planning of posting an updated pic this weekend.

You can run 35s with a 3 inch BL no problem, even better with a T bar crank. Usually a 17x9 rim with 35 12.5s will do ya good. Im running 34's with just a T bar crank. And my Last truck had 35 12.5s with a 6 inch lift with PLENTY of room to grow.
