Default Why so bad? Help!!

Hey guys I'm getting 12.3 MPG running 55 at 1700 rpms, why so bad? I have a 98 4.6 with 3.55 gears

Clean your maf sensor how about the fuel filter did you change it to I get about 13.5 mpg at them speeds I have a edge programer in my truck to watch and about 15 on the highway

What's the Maf? And how do I clean it? And I did the fuel filter right after Christmas

Mass air flow sensor it should be rite behind your air filter 4 bolts to take it out and unplug the harness from it spray it with electrical parts cleaner then wait for it to dry before you put it back on
