Default Whose cut off the back 2 catalytic convertors?

Im gettin ready to redo my exhaust, and ive read about cutting off the back 2 cats. Does this reduce throttle response or drop power? Hows the sound afterwards? If I do that im planning on running dual pipes into two glass packs. Are there exhaust kits we can buy that are fitted for this or is pretty simple using straight pipes and elbow pieces?

My buddy did that on his 4.6 and just ran straights back from there with 6" tips. It was the best sounding truck in town. The throttle response wasn't really affected that we could tell but it was already lagging since he had 35" Super Swampers. Glasspacks would sound really cool too though, especially if you have a 5.4, it dunnno what you have. And we had it done professionally but its not too hard to do

I woudn't mind at all to but he sold that truck right after christmas. He decided he needed a F-250. But i can't remember if the O2 sensors were a problem, i can't remember where they go in at, but basically we cut the 2 cats out, replaced with new tubing just where the cats were then had the stock pipe running back to a y-pipe that branched it back to 2 pipes out the corners. I hope that helps, sorry i can't get a pic. I'll ask him though on the off chance he has one
