Default Where is the IAC???

Hey guys! My truck started to act up today. When I tried to start it, it would crank and turn over but would not stay on!!! The only way it stayed on was if I kept my foot on the gas. As soon as I took it off it would cut off. So I had to drive it like a stick using both of my feet and trowing it into N and kept giving it gas as I slowed down to a stop. I searched the threads and I think its the IAC or MAF sensor but I'm not mechanically smart, so can anyone tell me where they are located and how hard is the job! thanx!!!! P.S. No CEL has come on at anytime during this time period! And I know the fuel filter is good because it was changed about a year ago!

The IAC on my 97 F-150 was right on the top of the engine, next to the throttle body, in front of the coil pack, and just behind the air intake. It's super easy to find and replace. 2 bolts, 1 electric connection.

I'll take a picture of mine tonight, I am at work now and I don't drive my truck to work.

Here's a picture of a mustang engine with all parts labeled, not exactly the same, but close enough to get the idea.

Hey, I just ran across another picture of a Windstar IAC. This one looks exactly like my truck. The valve is turned 90 degrees in this pic though (for the van). The intake is on the right in this pic, on my truck, the intake was in front of the IAC.
