Default Where is horn switch in steering wheel?

What's the procedure for removing the airbag and replacing the switch or mechanism which triggers the horn? I beat the crap outta my horn a while ago when i got cut off by someone smoking pot and driving - twice....

Now my horn doesn't work so i cant honk at any more crazies. My horn actually got "stuck" on and then no longer worked. Anyone beat the **** outta their horn? Got a fix for me? From my understanding there is a horn pad? I suspect that is all that is broke. Wonder if it's just easier to get another airbag?

He he he..... kinda funny Dave. Damn stoners. Be sure to disconnect your battery before you pull it. Don't want that air bag giving you a black eye. And be careful with the clocking spring. You'll know it when you see it. I think there's a ribbon wire attached to it. Hopefully when you get the steering wheel cover off no small broken pieces fall out. Shouldn't take much to fix or replace it.

Wait so i can just remove the cover? I thought the cover which lays over the horn pad is non-removable and riveted in? I'll have to see if the junkyard has something as well...

The Horn Pad is included in the Airbag Assembly.
The Clock Spring is where the Airbag Assembly & Cruise Control connected.

No Airbag light? Cruise Control Working? If Yes, Try cleaning the bolt with ground wire in the passenger side firewall. I can't exactly remember if wiper fluid pump, hazard and wiper motor shares the same ground with the horn.

I'm sure this will solve the problem if Airbag Light is OFF. If the Airbag light is On the Clock spring is faulty.

Did you ever figure this problem out? I'm having the same issue. Friend punched my horn and it would get stuck on. It no longer works along with cruise control.

I replaced the airbag and re did the contacts on the horn and all works.

If cruise control does not work your looking at a new clock spring.
