Default Where is cyclinder 6? More problems....

Well ive owned my f150 for a month and it has been a long month. First i had to replace the 02 sensors, then the tranny gasket started leaking after pulling the pan i found that one of the bolt holes as been striped had to retap it and install a bigger bolt. Just finished that yesterday, now today my check engine light comes on misfire #6. So how do i go about fixing this i have the 5.4 triton 2 valve, thank goodness. I believe it is on the driverside second back from he front but just want to be sure. Also all i should have to do is test he coil pack and or replace the the plug right? Or is there more i need to worry about. Thanks for any help in advance.

I believe you are correct about where the cylinder is. As for the misfire, have you recently cleaned your engine bay or gone offroading. Water is a big problem with these coil packs. I had the same thing last year with my truck. I took the coil pack off and dried it out and and put a fan of the cylinder to dry it out. Hopefully it is just some water and if not replace the coil pack.

Is there anyway to test the coil pack? So should i try to just put it back together and see if that clears it up? Or should i just go ahead and replace the plug and go from there? i noticed the spring running from the coil pack to the plug had some muck like stuff in it cleaned it all out of the spring could that lilttle bit of stuff caused it to miss?

I dont know of any way to test the coil pack but I would try putting it back in after you cleaned it. Is there anything in the cylinder hole?
