Default Wheels/Tires help

Was scrolling through but didn't see a post, so apologies if someone can link one. Have a 99 Stepside, with the 4.2L 5spd. Was able to get some 16x10 polished wheels to replace the bent/wrapped original but a little worried about the offset. I have access to all tire sizes at work but can't tell which would fit perfectly. Not trying to go super expensive since I haven't decided to lift or drop the truck yet. This is temporary since getting the original fixed cost more then these. So my question is what's the max size that would fit? I tested a 265/70R16 tire and had plenty of room in front, no scrub in back. I can attempt to change the wheels out but then it would cost restock fee.

I’d think a 265 is reeaalllyyyy stretched on a 10” wheel. 305/70 (literally a 33x12.5) fits perfect on the 16x10. It’s the only size I’ve ever ran.

4” Rancho lift, but I had this same wheel setup when stock. Worked great then also.

The offset definitely makes a difference between some Wheels fitting and some Wheels requiring fender trimming when you get close to max. No problem with up to LT 285/70/17 on the stock 7.5 wheels. And even lt295 or 305 with maybe slight trimming of front valence... But different Wheels changes everything
