wheel/tire question
NO
2004 up are 6x135 (5.3in)
1997-2004 (H) are 5x135 (5.3in)
1996 and prior are 5x139.7 (5.5in)
There is no way to use the wheels without buying adapters, and if you are trying to use them on an older 4x4, there are NO adapters available, because of the closeness to the center-hub to the lug openings. I've talked to 6 different adapter companies, most in Cal, and all say the same when it comes to the 4x4. They wouldn't even custom make them because of liability. We also tried to use the newer 6x135 Ford wheels on the older trucks, and again they didn't make them if we were using them on 4x4's.

You are wrong there. NO. Ford F150's from even earlier than 1960 have all been 5x5.5. There were never any
Ford F150's prior to 2003 (rated 2004's) that came or had 6 lug wheels. Chevrolet, Nissan, Toyota, some Durango's and Dakota's, some Jeeps, Mitsu p/u, Mazda before 93, had 6 lug wheels. Not F150's. Put it to a vote with the group. Only the 97 to 03 (94 H) had the 5x5.35 wheels, and 97-02 Navigators and Expeditions.
