Default Wheel Question

hey guys so i have a 97 xlt ext cab 2wd and i found a guy on craigslist selling a set of 15inch AR wheels off of a f150 but my question is can i go with a smaller wheel the only thing ive found via google is that the 2000s and up have bigger rear calipers so they will rub but i cant seem to find anything specific for my year. thanks again

Its bigger front calipers since you have drums in the rear.

And no the smallest wheel you can run is a 16". It also has to have 5*135mm bolt pattern and since those are probably wheels off of a 80-96 F150 it will be 5*5.5 bolt pattern.

Yeah that's what I meant sorry.

Yeah I wasn't sure what year they came off of so I figured I'd double check with you guys. Looks like I'll just stick with my stock wheels then!
