Wheel offset help
I have a 2001 F150 2wd with a 3 inch suspension lift. I have fallen in love with these wheels but don't understand offset and back spacing and even with research I am still really confused. I have the Harley Davidson valence and bumper so please take that into consideration. I really don't want to trim the valence and absolutely don't want to hit the valence when turning. I will be running 33x12.50R18 and can't rub on the valence but if I rub somewhere else I will fix it. Please help me decide on which one I should buy and help me figure out where I would rub.
I had a hard time understanding offset also.
25.4mm is 1inch
our stock offset is +14mm
meaning they are tucked inwards more..
any negative offset will will make the rim and tire stick out from fenders...
for example 20x12 -44mm is a wide stance with nearly 2inchs poking out.
those rims should be ok but you might have to trim that valence a little...
i use to run 20x9 +14mm with some 33x12.50 with no level kit. Barley I mean barley made clearance... I put 20x10 -24mm on and they scrubbed like crazy.
i actually have some pics of her on my profile before I lifted it.
I hoped this helpped. Probably confusing but you'll get it.
